There are three special gigs this month along with my regular bookings like this Sunday at Dee Why RSL Club.
First is a Harbour Cruise “Blues On The Water”. Myself with Cass Eager and her band Velvet Rope. I worked with Cass on the recent Robert Johnson Tribute and if you haven’t seen her she is one hot blues mama who not only has a great voice and instrumental skills, but really knows how to entertain. I’ll be doing a set as well as playing keys with the band.
That’s on Saturday 9th of August. Best to book early as only a certain amount are allowed on the cruise. I played on a cruise earlier in the year and it’s easy to forget how stunning Sydney is when experienced from the water.
If you are not familiar with either performers, check them out:

Next, a free one. The new West Coast, Jump and New Orleans R&B band I’m leading is back again at The Rock Lilly room, in the fabulous Star Casino this month. Thursday 21st of August. With Joel Davis (Feral Swing Cats, Cajun Combo) drums, Andrew Baylor (Baylor Brothers, Dance Hall Racketeers) guitar & vocals, and Bruce Allen (Dynamic Hepnotics, Bell Hops) tenor sax and vocals. Lots of music for the swing and jive dancers with classic and rare R&B from the 1940s and 50s.
And on Sunday 22nd of August at 4:30 pm Honky Tonk Machine will be at the Marrickville Bowling Club. The perfect venue for their country Honky Tonk sound. Featuring myself vocals and piano and the amazing hot guitar licks and vocals of Stuie French, with Joel Davis drums and vocals and Artie Taylor on the upright bass. Songs from Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Hank Williams, George Jones, Charlie Rich, Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings....
See gigs page for details of these and other gigs.
