Wednesday Blues Night At Low 302

Special Guest Next Friday 19 Feb At Dee Why RSL
Last Thursday I had a lot of fun filling in for Lionel Robinson at the Flame Lounge, Dee Why RSL Club. His friend Jimmy Stead was sitting in playing some beautiful saxophone sounds with my voice and piano.
For those in the Northern Beaches, he will also be there next Friday so make sure you came and have a listen.
Originally from the UK where he played with The John Barry Seven he visits Australia once a year. John Barry composed the James Bond theme music during the 60s and has scored many of the best films in further decades. He also had hit singles in the 60s with Jimmy Stead on Sax.

Wednesday Blues Night At Low 302
I am proud to announce a new regular Blues night in Sydney. It will be on Wednesdays from 8:30pm at the popular and funky Low 302 Restaurant and Bar, 302 Crown Darlinghurst between Campbell and Goulburn streets. And it’s open to 2am. I will be singing and playing the in house grand piano, letting loose with all my blues favourites and obscurities, originals, New Orleans, ragtime, stride and boogie woogie tunes. Opening night is Wednesday 24th of February and it’s free. So if you like the idea of a place with piano blues starring Don Hopkins every Wednesday in Sydney don’t wait too long to check it out. Come down in the first six weeks to help make it a goer and to enjoy the live music, and partake of the food and drinks menu.
